Meet the governing council
The Azman University Governing Council is comprised of respected leaders from a variety of fields, who share a common goal of ensuring the academic success of our students. We bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table and hold ourselves to a high standard of excellence. As stewards of the university, we are dedicated to ensuring that Azman University remains a premier institution of higher education.
Alh Dr. Abdulmunaf Sarina, Chairman/ Proprietor

Alhaji (DR.) Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina, was born on the 7th day of January, 1958, at Sarina Town in Garko Local Government Area of Kano State. In 1967, after completing his Arabic school, he was enrolled into Sumaila Central Primary School, and later transferred to Rimi Primary school in Kano City where he graduated in 1973, although his two Senior brothers had opted to continue with the pursuit of their educational carrier, Dr. Abdulmunaf Yunusa chose the path of business. He started with petty trading, retail sales, Kiosks and restaurant and later graduated into export and import
before he finally joined his family business of Haulage, under his family company of Sani Brothers Transport Nigeria Limited. Currently he has over 150 trucks in the Company’s fleet. In 1990, Alhaji Dr. Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina, ventured into Oil and Gas business with his first filing station in Tamburawa in Kano State. Over the years, he unrelentingly continues with expansion of the Oil and Gas, building more outlets across the country. Read more

Professor Fatima Batul Mukhtar is a professor of Botany with plant physiology as her area of specialization. Additional areas of interest are biostatistics, horticulture, agricultural biotechnology and food security. She was born in the city of Kano in northern part of Nigeria. She started her primary education at Shahuchi Primary School and completed her primary education at a boarding school, Shekara Girls Boarding Primary School. She then proceeded to Government Girls College, Dala, Kano, where she obtained West African School Certificate (WASC) in 1980.
She proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where she graduated with a degree in Botany in 1984 She undertook her National Youths Service Corps at Forestry Division, Ministry of Agriculture, Kano State. She did her master’s degree at Bayero University, Kano in 1994. She afterwards got employment with the same University in the Department of Biological Sciences. Read more
